We are currently seeking an experienced Installations Leading Hand to join our team. The role will work 7:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime available.

At Perth City Air, you will have a unique opportunity to work directly alongside our passionate business owners and take a leadership role in shaping how we deliver our projects.

What You Will Do as the Installations Leading Hand:

You will take ownership of day-to-day site operations and ensure smooth, efficient delivery of our installation projects. Your responsibilities will include:

Leading a small team, including apprentices and trade assistants.

Installing ductwork, fan coil units, return air grilles and plenums.

Framing, hanging, and connecting flexible duct and fittings.

Interpreting and working from design drawings.

Ensuring quality control and signing off on completed work.

Coordinating materials, tools and timelines without needing close direction.

Mentoring junior staff and teaching on the job.

As the Installations Leading Hand, you will be supplied with:

Who You Are:

This role is suited to a confident and capable trade-qualified air-conditioning installer who is ready to step into a leading role. You will have:

Minimum 5 years of post-apprenticeship experience (essential)

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (essential)

Proven ability to lead a team, take initiative and work independently

Confidence in mentoring and upskilling junior staff

A solid understanding of residential and light commercial installations

The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and layouts

A safety-first mindset and ability to support WHS on site

Sound mathematical and English literacy

Physical fitness and ability to lift and move equipment and materials

Valid “C” Class driver’s licence

Ability to pass drug and alcohol and medical screening

You must also hold or be willing to obtain:

Construction White Card

Working at Heights ticket

National Police Clearance
