We are seeking a passionate & motivated person to join our team at The Newmarket & Catering Team in Albury, who is hardworking, dedicated and energetic about delicious food, coffee & customer service.

About this role

As a catering/front of house attendant you will be responsible for providing front of house services, as well as catering services to the community and local businesses in Albury-Wodonga. Applicant may be required to open and close the store when needed, have full availability including early morning starts, Saturdays & Public Holidays.

The Newmarket Store & Catering runs on a 6 day week, opening at 5am-4pm on weekdays & 5am-3pm on Saturdays.

For this position we are offering the right candidate 15-20 hours per week.

Additional rates for pre 6am starts & Saturday shifts.

The Newmarket Store & Catering has been delivering quality food to the Albury-Wodonga area for over 30 years. We are a Second-Generation family run business and believe in providing high quality food and excellent service. Not only are we a catering business but we are also a striving retail - The Newmarket Store which is open Monday to Saturday for all Breakfast and Lunch takeaway needs to the Albury-Wodonga community.

Applicants for this role will ideally have

Knowledge of cooking techniques and methods

Excellent verbal communication skills with customers and over the phone

Ability to manage and organize own time in order to meet deadlines/orders

Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards regarding food preparation and storage

Being able to take orders in person and over the phone

Qualifications & Experiences

Applicants with these certificates & experiences would be desirable;

Certificate in Hospitality

Food Safety Certificate

Experience with Point of Sales (POS) systems

Experience as a Barista

Experience in Catering Services

Experience in Tattslotto Sales (training can be provided)
