Brancourts Dairy Australia Pty Ltd is a family owned and operated company based in the Hunter region that has been operating in the dairy industry for 130 years.

The business is growing rapidly and so we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team at Hexham near Newcastle to work on the maintenance of plant and equipment.

If you have proven experience in food, packaging or a related industry with solid knowledge of Maintenance, Continuous Improvement and the Compliance requirements of working in an FMCG then we are looking for you!

There is planned, ad hoc and breakdown maintenance activity. From time to time, there is also the installation and modification of new and existing plant and equipment to required safety, environmental and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

Ensure that all work carried out complies with Company Health and Safety policies

Maintain manufacturing equipment and site infrastructure

Participate in Continuous Improvement activities and projects

What do you need to work for us:

Permanent Rights to Work in Australia

Hydraulic/pneumatic experience is an advantage

Experience and working exposure to a variety of valves (i.e. proof processing, sanitary, mix proof, actuated, PSV’s, ball, gate, check & safety)

A restricted electrical licence would be a definite advantage

Flexibility with working hours.

Flexibility to work Saturday and/or Sunday from time to time depending on plant requirements.

Must be a team player but also able to work independently.

A proactive work ethic and a ‘can do’ attitude

Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work within a team and independently

Great attention to detail and working to deadlines in a busy work environment.
