About the role

Become an integral part of the Bean Culture team as a Coffee Roaster in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Mitchell, ACT. This is a casual role that will see you play a key part in the production and distribution of our premium coffee blends. You will be responsible for the entire roasting process, from bean selection to quality control, ensuring our customers receive only the finest coffee products.

What you'll be doing

Operate and maintain coffee roasting equipment to produce high-quality roasted coffee beans

Monitor roasting temperatures, times and profiles to ensure consistent quality

Perform cupping and tasting to evaluate the quality and characteristics of roasted coffee

Package and label roasted coffee ready for distribution

Collaborate with the team to optimise workflows and improve efficiency

Maintain detailed production records and provide reporting as required

Adhere to all health, safety and quality control procedures

Assist in other areas of the business where needed (cafe and coffee carts)

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience in coffee roasting

Strong understanding of coffee varieties, roast profiles and brewing methods

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing consistently high-quality coffee

Ability to work efficiently

Good communication and teamwork skills

Familiarity with coffee roasting equipment operation and maintenance
