Our client is a leading innovator in manufacturing and distributing long steel products. They are Australia's only fully vertically integrated steel manufacturing utilising scrap metal recycling and downstream distribution.

They are seeking Machine Operators with machine operating experience to assist with their machine operations, manufacturing a wide variety of steel for concrete infrastructure based at their St Mary's warehouse. Experience with using an overhead crane and welding of steel products. Day 6am to 2:20pm and afternoon 2:20 to 10:45pm shifts are on offer, with overtime available.

Key responsibilities:

This is an all-rounder role assisting with daily machine operations and general maintenance duties within the warehouse.

Other tasks may include:

• Machine operating
• Overhead Crane operating
• Welding
• Computer controls
• Cutting of steel products to length
• Problem solving and troubleshooting where required
• General warehouse duties

Essential Criteria

• Previous machine operating experience
• Experience with welding a definite bonus
• Overhead crane experience ideal but not essential
• A good level of physical fitness
• Comfortable with manual handling - able to lift 20kg-25kg consistently
• Have a hardworking, self-motivated attitude
• Able to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol
• Available Monday to Friday
