Roof Tiler required for the installation and repair of roofing systems to ensure buildings have a waterproof and weather resistant exterior usually involving tiles or metal sheets.

You will be required to:

Work from heights safely

Prepare roof surface

Install material

Adhere to safety standards

Interpret blueprints and specifications

Skills required:

Interpret data from plans to determine material required

Competent in using ladders and putting up scaffold

Placing and securing sarking oveer eaves and securing roof underlay

Placing starter rows with edge of roof securing adequately overlapping additional layers

Measuring and cutting material to fit around vents etc

Nailing down and inserting roof material under pre-fabricated products

Ensuring cement mortar is used to fix edge and ridge tiles

Prevent leaks with caulking and flashing

Successful candidate will require a Certificate III in Roof Tiling (CPC30820) or minimum 3 years of experience, Work safely at heights and current drivers license
