The Role

We are currently looking to appoint a highly skilled and experienced HD Fitter / Mobile Plant Mechanic.

In this role, your key focus will be performing planned maintenance and carrying out major component change outs across various mine sites throughout the Pilbara across multiple projects. This position will be based on a 2:1, FIFO roster out of Perth.

Duties and responsibilities

Undertake scheduled maintenance services to vehicles and plant as per checklists, observing all specifications and standards

Replace machinery items or advise on unserviceable items that are due for replacement

Undertake emergency service repairs to other plant and related equipment

Reassemble vehicle and plant engines following parts have been repaired or replaced

Test and adjust parts following repair to ensure optimal performance

Diagnose faults and machine performance issues

Ensure the Safety Culture is embraced, displayed and driven from within - safety takes priority over everything else

Requirements for this Role

Proof of working rights in Australia

Heavy Duty Fitter / Automotive trade or hold relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) mobile plant trade qualifications

Current Australian HR Driver's License

Have experience, knowledge and understanding of mining equipment

Extensive experience with breakdowns, component change outs and fault finding

Strong analytical, diagnostic skills with solutions focused attitude

Team player with strong safety principles

Be well presented and physically fit and able to pass a Pre-employment medical - Including Drug and Alcohol Screen
