Opportunity: Health & Safety Advisor – QLD Coal Mining

Location: Mackay & Bowen Basin Region Residential & DIDO options + (FIFO from Brisbane)

About the Role:

We’re currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced HSE Advisors for upcoming FIFO opportunities with leading coal mining clients across Queensland’s Bowen Basin and surrounding areas. These roles play a vital part in driving and supporting safety culture during a critical phase of operational activity and production ramp-up.

Requirements of the Role:

Minimum Cert IV in Workplace Health & Safety

Current Standard 11 (Surface Coal)

Coal Board Medical – current or able to obtain

ICAM or auditing qualifications highly regarded

Previous experience in open-cut or underground coal mining environments

Strong communication and relationship building skills on-site

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct field leadership and proactive safety interactions

Mentor and support operational teams on HSE practices

Participate in and lead incident investigations

Conduct site audits and inspections, reporting and mitigating risks

Support continuous improvement of HSEQ systems and standards

Collaborate closely with both site-based and corporate HSEQ teams
