Wild Dolphin Massage & Beauty, situated on the stunning Moreton Island, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Massage & Beauty Therapist to join our team.
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and qualified Massage & Beauty Therapist to join our vibrant team. This role requires a professional passionate about Spa treatments, client care, and delivering luxurious experiences in a serene island setting.
The ideal candidate should possess a blend of massage and beauty skills.
A fervour for customer service and teamwork is essential. Demonstrated experience in providing various services is crucial for success in this role. Hence, all applicants must hold a Diploma of Beauty Therapy, Diploma, Cert 4 in Massage Therapy, or an equivalent qualification.
While the primary focus is on massage and beauty, the role may encompass some customer service and store duties as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide beauty therapy treatments such as facials, body treatments, waxing, manicures, pedicures, and other related services to enhance physical appearance and relaxation.
Perform therapeutic massage therapies, including aromatherapy, Swedish massage, and deep tissue massage, tailored to individual client needs.
Advise clients on skincare, body care, and suitable products to achieve desired results.
Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of work areas and equipment to the highest standard.
Monitor and manage stock levels, including stock rotation, ordering, and inventory control.
Develop and oversee schedules for client appointments and ensure timely service delivery.
Supervise and manage daily operations of the salon, including staff coordination and ensuring compliance with workplace policies.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any concerns to deliver a superior client experience.
Promote salon services and products to increase client retention and satisfaction.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required:
A relevant qualification in Beauty Therapy (Certificate IV or equivalent).
Minimum 2 years of full-time experience in a similar role.
Proficiency in a wide range of beauty treatments and massage techniques.
Strong organizational and leadership skills to manage daily salon operations effectively.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required.
Extra Skills are very valuable IE Facepainting/ Henna Tattooing
Beauty Therapist: 2 years (Preferred)
Massage Therapist: 2 Years (Preferred)
Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)
Licence/Certification:

The Applicant
The successful applicant should have:
Diploma of Beauty Therapy, Diploma, or Cert 4 in Massage Therapy.
A dedication to ensuring clients feel their best.
Strong teamwork and customer service abilities.
Additional Desirable Skills:
First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid).
Experience in pregnancy massage.

This position is ideally live-on-island; however, if interested in weekend work only, please contact us as we can be flexible with work arrangements.
Casual positions are also available for massage & beauty therapists or massage-only therapists.
