About the Project

The OK Project is situated near Norseman, around 200km south of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. Westauz has recently extended its underground production and development contract for a further two years and currently employs a workforce of over 120 personnel.

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Jumbo Operators to join our team. The roles are offered on a 7/7 roster and 12hr shifts. Reporting to the Underground shift supervisor, the role encompasses decline and lateral development utilising Sandvik 421 twin-boom jumbos.

Key responsibilities include –

Operate a twin-boom jumbo to perform ground support installation, face drilling, and development drives to plan

Accurately mark-up and drill face and ground support patterns according to survey plans

Monitor and optimise drilling parameters to ensure high development advance rates without compromising ground control or safety

Conduct pre-start checks, minor servicing, and maintain equipment in a clean and serviceable condition

Requirements

Proven experience operating Sandvik 421 jumbos in a high-speed development setting

Ability to interpret development plans, survey mark-ups, and communicate effectively with the team

High level of situational awareness, with a proactive approach to safety and hazard identification
