The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is looking for Field Interviewers to approach household addresses who have been selected to complete an ABS survey. Interviews will be conducted face to face in a respondent's home, with some components possibly completed over the phone from your home office.
About the role
Interviewers are the public face of the ABS and have an important role in building strong relationships with the public.
All household interviews are conducted using a notebook computer. You will need to be competent with computers. Full training in the use of ABS software and systems is provided.
Interviewers must maintain the strictest confidentiality and security in respect of all information collected and survey materials used. An Interviewer is engaged as an employee of the ABS under s16(2) of the Australian Bureau of Statistics Act 1975 in accordance with Regulation 7 of the Statistics Regulations 2016 and is legally bound to protect the privacy of the information collected
Interviewers are employed outside the Australian Public Service (APS) but must behave in a manner consistent with the APS Values, Employment Principles and Code of Conduct.

You need to have access to a reliable, fully insured vehicle and hold a current Australian driver's license
