About the Role
As our Continuous Improvement Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in the ongoing service, upkeep, and continuous improvement of the specialised equipment used in our circular saw production. You will be responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting faults, performing repairs, and implementing a planned maintenance schedule across a range of welding, grinding, Laser cutting and other precision machinery.
This is a hands-on role that requires both mechanical and technical expertise, as well as a proactive mindset to identify and fix issues before they impact production.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain, service and repair manufacturing machinery and equipment.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Work closely with the Production Team to minimise downtime.
Coordinate with external technicians or suppliers when required.
Ensure safety procedures and standards are always adhered to.
Recommend and contribute to improvements in machine performance and reliability.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
Proven experience in mechanical or maintenance technician roles within manufacturing or industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
Familiarity with CNC or specialised metalworking machinery (desirable).
Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
Self-motivated, organised and reliable, with a proactive approach to maintenance.
A strong safety-first mindset and attention to detail.
Forklift licence and relevant trade qualifications highly regarded.
