Your Role
Our team requires a Clinical Nurse who understands and drives person-centred care and customer service. As Program Clinical Nurse you will be assisting in setting clinical standards that reflect best practice and assisting clinical employees to improve skills and knowledge through leadership and direction. You will be responsible for organising and managing School Immunisation Program (SIP) and workplace immunisation services.

The person we are looking for should have advanced nursing skills to provide appropriate supervision, along with a variety of specialist skills and passion in the following areas:

• Immunisation experience
• Clinical Leadership experience
• Promote best practice and mentor clinicians and administration staff
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and ability to lead a team
• Strong organisational skills and time management
• Programming and Rostering
• Exceptional Customer service to multiple client groups ie school staff and students and their caregivers; PHU SIP Coordinators

Your tasks will include:

• Clinical organisation and supervision of the School Immunisation Program, working with SIP IPNs and Administration staff and the Branch Management to implement this program across Brisbane North and South.
• Assist the administration with any clinical enquires from schools and influenza customers as well as review and follow up student consent information as required
• Rostering of Nurse Immunisers and admin staff to School Immunisation clinics and consent reviews.
• Clinical support and training to other members of the team including Cold Chain, Anaphylaxis and Immunisation updates working with PHU.
• Participate in immunisation clinics, troubleshoot and assist with incident reporting
• Management of vaccines and weekly ordering
• Management and ordering of immunisation consumables needles, sharps containers, PPE, Infection control etc.

Role Requirements

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Current National Police Check
• Immunisation Program Nurse (IPN) QLD certificate and experience
• CPR certificates
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Annual Mandatory Influenza vaccination
• Mandatory COVID Vaccination
• Proof of Immunity against vaccine preventable disease Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox) & Pertussis (Whooping Cough).
• Excellent communication, computer & mobile device skills
