Our Story
K-Life is a community-driven, not-for-profit organisation devoted to innovative healthcare solutions. Located in the picturesque town of Killarney, QLD, in addition to residential aged care, we run a medical centre, a home care service, disability support, and other community-based services.
We aim to foster a climate of innovation and excellence. We achieved a four- and five-star rating for our residential aged care services and have opened a small-scale cottage model of care, a space where resident independence and meaningful engagement are not just goals but realities.
Your Opportunity
With a welcoming team and supportive leadership, we will work with you to ensure this role meets your lifestyle and career goals, including professional development.
The key responsibility of the role is to lead your clinical team and work collaboratively with other support teams, allied health, and medical services to ensure our residents receive exceptional holistic care.
We have a modern facility with the latest technologies and amenities.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
As a Registered Nurse at K-Life, you will provide strong clinical leadership and oversight of resident care, ensuring the highest standards of person-led, evidence-based, and holistic care. You will lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, including peer RNs, ENs, and PCWs, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
In your role, you will take primary responsibility for Case Management, supporting residents to actively lead their care and wellness plans. Your approach will prioritise each individual’s choices, goals, and preferences, enabling them to direct the care they receive and promoting autonomy and dignity in daily living.
Your responsibilities will also include:
Conducting risk assessments and clinical reviews
Participating in open disclosure and quality improvement processes
Ensuring compliance with AN-ACC documentation to support accurate funding
Coordinating multidisciplinary input to support integrated care planning
You will be flexible and adaptable to change, with a strong understanding of the evolving aged care environment and awareness of the new Aged Care Standards coming into effect in November 2025. You will be proactive in ongoing education, staying up to date with current evidence-based best practice.
You will bring great compassion and care for our residents, supporting them with dignity and respect, and be a team player who contributes to a positive and connected workplace culture.
Be Rewarded
In addition to the exceptional salary, successful candidates will receive a host of additional generous benefits, including:
Attractive Salary Packaging Benefits, including not-for-profit and remote area benefits meaning more take-home pay.
6 weeks annual leave + 10 days sick leave
Significant flexibility and excellent support from our experienced team
Opportunities for significant ongoing training, development, mentoring, and career progression.
Most importantly, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work for an organisation that is making a tangible impact in the lives of those in our community.
