About the role

Edwards Family Farms is situated in the North Adelaide Hills consisting of four vineyard estates located between Birdwood and Mt Torrens. We are seeking a fulltime, hands-on vineyard operator to join the team. We produce premium Adelaide Hills grapes on a commercial scale and your role will be essential in maintaining the high standard of grape production we are known for

What’s involved

· Conducting general vineyard operational tasks including vineyard floor management, pest and disease control, canopy management and trellis maintenance

· Performing vineyard activities including vineyard establishment and reworking, irrigation maintenance

· Key involvement in harvest operations both mechanical harvesting and handpicking

· Some general seasonal farm and stock operations are also included

Your skills and experience

· Previous farm and agriculture experience operating machinery preferred but we are prepared to train a suitably motivated applicant

· Ability to work independently and part of a team

· Problem solving and an understanding of equipment maintenance

· Current drivers license, current work visa or Australian working rights, chem-cert (not essential) and forklift license ( not essential)
