About the Role
The Australian Club is seeking a dedicated and detail-driven Club Presentation & Room Attendant to uphold the cleanliness, order, and presentation of our heritage-listed clubhouse in Melbourne’s CBD.

This hybrid role covers both public areas and guest rooms, requiring initiative, reliability, discretion, and a commitment to excellence. You'll largely manage your own time and priorities, while also supporting occasional event cleaning, rare overnight needs, and heritage care (such as maintaining fireplaces).

You’ll work closely with the Club Services Manager and the Head Housekeeper, but will perform many tasks independently.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and maintain public areas and guest rooms to a premium standard

Restock bathrooms and amenities; monitor and report on stock levels

Maintain presentation of fireplaces and heritage fittings during colder months

Manage daily task priorities with minimal supervision

Support event setup/clean-up and rare overnight cleaning duties

Use provided technology for clocking in/out and logging tasks

Maintain personal grooming and presentation in line with high-end hospitality standards

Participate in a respectful, professional, and supportive team culture

What We’re Looking For

A minimum of three years’ experience in premium environments such as high-end hospitality, private residences, or equivalent

A strong work ethic, keen eye for detail, and ability to work alone

Excellent personal presentation and grooming

Discretion, reliability, and initiative

Comfortable with physical tasks (e.g. bending, lifting, manoeuvring, standing)

Familiarity with cleaning products and safe usage

Reliable availability for weekday and weekend day shifts, with very occasional evenings or rare overnights

Police Check (required); First Aid (preferred – training can be provided)

Regular access to email and the ability to check rosters, apply for leave, and complete training in your own time

Part-time role; award pay rates apply

8-hour shifts (includes unpaid lunch break)

Access to staff dining room, fridge, showers, lockers

Uniform provided early in tenure; applicants to wear smart black attire initially

6-month probation with regular feedback and support
