We’re GJS—a proudly Australian-owned company that supplies cutting-edge printing tech to creatives, digital decorators, and businesses across the country. We’re on the hunt for a sharp, hands-on Printer Service Technician to join our support team, based in Brisbane or the Gold Coast.
This is a role for someone who gets a buzz from solving technical problems, doesn’t mind some travel, and knows their way around electronics and customer service in equal measure.
About the role:
Some days you'll be out and about installing printers, providing training, performing scheduled servicing, and helping customers keep their gear running smoothly. Other days you’ll be working from home, on the phone or video chat, helping customers troubleshoot a problem, solve a stubborn error code or catching up on email cases.
Your mission? Maximum uptime. Happy customers.
You'll need to bring:
Solid experience with electronics or electrical systems – this one’s non-negotiable
Experience in a similar role (Tech, assembler, field tech, etc)
Confidence dealing with customers in person and over the phone
A logical mind, steady hands, and tidy work habits
Good organisational skills—you can juggle jobs without losing track
A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel (QLD and interstate)
A valid passport—occasional overseas installs might pop up
Computer skills (MS Office, using a CRM, basic admin)
**Bonus points if you also have**
Hands-on experience with Epson, Roland DG, or Brother printers
Familiarity with screen printing or digital garment printing gear
Used Salesforce Service Cloud or SAP Business One
Basic skills in Adobe Creative Suite (enough to demo or troubleshoot)
What your days will look like:
Providing on-site technical support to ensure GJS customers can enjoy maximum up-time and production
Responding to, and assisting customers via GJS’ omni-channel support platform
Hitting the road and installing new printing equipment
Remote and on-site product training for GJS customers
On-site scheduled servicing of existing GJS printer install base
Ensuring that GJS’ expansive customer knowledge base is kept up to date
Assisting the sales and customer services teams in maintaining GJS' exceptional customer service standards
