About the Position

We are seeking Secondary Teachers and Support Teachers (LSA) to teach students in Years 7 to 10. Preference will be given to candidates with the ability to teach English, Mathematics, Information Technology, Science, or HASS (Humanities and Social Sciences).

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in:

Developing teaching plans aligned with the V9 Australian Curriculum, in consultation with the Curriculum Coordinator.

Preparing and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons for students of varying ages and abilities.

Creating lesson plans, setting up classrooms, assessing student progress, and fostering a passion for learning.

Ideal candidates will be creative, passionate educators who inspire students and nurture their intellectual and personal growth.

General Capabilities

Design an inclusive curriculum that meets educational standards and caters to diverse learners.

Develop innovative lesson plans incorporating varied teaching techniques and multimedia.

Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and active participation.

Essential Selection Criteria

Teaching qualification (preferably a Degree in Education from an Australian university).

Full or Provisional Registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI).

Prior experience teaching Science (or relevant subject areas).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to motivate and engage students from diverse backgrounds.

Familiarity with current educational trends and technology integration.

Salary & Benefits

90,000–125,000 (commensurate with experience).

Up to $5,000 relocation allowance (for eligible candidates).
