Join a large national infrastructure provider as a Security Threat Engineer supporting real-time incident response, threat detection, and proactive cyber defence.

You'll be embedded in a mature Cyber Defence team, working across SOC operations, threat intel, log visibility, and automation. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone experienced in high-pressure environments and passionate about securing critical services.

What you'll do:

• Act as a key responder to security incidents, triaging events and supporting real-time communications
• Investigate threats through detailed log analysis and SIEM platforms
• Uplift visibility by onboarding assets and improving log coverage into the SOC
• Contribute to threat intel insights and security tool engineering
• Work with scripting/automation to improve detection and response speed

What you'll bring:

• Experience in a Security Operations or Incident Response role, ideally in large/complex environments
• Strong knowledge of SIEM, threat detection, and log analysis
• Scripting/automation capability (Python, SOAR, etc.)
• Certifications like GCIH, CTIA, or OSCP (preferred)
• Ability to translate technical risks for a broad audience and remain calm under pressure
