About the Role

Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking a dynamic Assessor - Licensed Electricians Assessment to support the effective delivery of the Licensed Electricians Assessment (LEA). This is a great opportunity to contribute to compliance, quality assurance, and collaborative team success in a purpose-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct the Licensed Electricians Assessment (LEA) following established procedures
  • Set up assessment rooms and verify candidate identity and eligibility
  • Monitor candidates during assessments and ensure compliance with rules
  • Distribute and collect assessment papers securely
  • Record and report incidents or suspected breaches
  • Respond to basic enquiries and assist the Lead LEA Assessor
  • Maintain accurate records aligned with regulatory standards

Skills and Experience Required
  • A current A Grade Electrical Licence
  • Appropriate educational qualifications and recent industry experience
  • Strong communication skills, especially in quiet assessment environments
  • Awareness of candidate stress factors during assessments
  • Understanding of Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) guidelines
  • Familiarity with Melbourne Polytechnic procedures andpolicies

Additional Requirements

Successful candidate will be required to provide:

  • A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • A National Police Check
