About the role

This full-time Removalist/Multi drop new furniture delivery driver position with M&D Vanlines' in Townsville, Queensland offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced driver to join a growing and dynamic road transport company. As a key member of the delivery team, you will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering furniture and other goods to residential and commercial customers across North Queensland

What you'll be doing

Carefully loading, unloading and delivering furniture, appliances and other goods to customers

Providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all clients

Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and completing all necessary paperwork

Inspecting vehicles and equipment to identify any maintenance or repair needs

Adhering to all road rules and safety regulations

Supporting the wider logistics team as required

What we're looking for

A valid Australian driver's licence with a clean driving record

At least 2 years' experience as a removalist or furniture delivery driver

Strong customer service skills and a friendly, professional manner

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately

Physical fitness and the capability to lift and manoeuvre heavy items

Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices

A team player attitude and willingness to contribute to the wider business objectives

Be competent with the use of a National heavy vehicle work diary
