Agar Cleaning Systems is a family-run manufacturer and supplier of high quality industrial and general cleaning products for commerce and industry, directly and through distributors and re-sellers.

We need a customer-friendly professional storeperson to work with our friendly team at our Queensland branch warehouse at Acacia Ridge. This energetic, conscientious, and reliable person will be responsible for stores work including storing away inward goods and order picking. They will also assist with the delivery of goods to our valued distributors and customers in the Brisbane region, to cover staff on leave.

The delivery vehicles include a Ford Transit van, an Isuzu D-Max tray back utility, and Hino light truck. A light truck licence is not essential but would be an advantage. The Transit and Hino have a manual transmission, so you need to know how to drive one.

Working full time Monday to Friday, the successful applicant's main responsibilities and duties will include:

Unloading and storing away inward goods shipments

Picking ordered goods for delivery or collection

Other occasional duties:

Serving, and fetching goods for 'door sale' customers

Stock counting and ordering

Processing sales orders via ERP system

Delivery of customer orders in the Brisbane and coastal regions

We are seeking someone who enjoys physical stores work and dealing cheerfully and courteously with people of all backgrounds, with occasional getting out-and-about delivering orders. They need to have a good ability to communicate with fellow staff and customers, an excellent driving record, a high level of stamina for physical work and accurate numerical skills.

Proven experience in similar roles and familiarity with the Brisbane CBD and suburban road network, will be a definite advantage. A forklift license will be required.

Most of our products are chemical liquids packed in 5 litre and 20 litre containers, so the successful applicant must be able to regularly lift goods weighing up to 25kg.

Working in a small team, consistent attendance, being adaptable to changing duties and an ability to work calmly under pressure and 'get on with the job' are all important.
