The National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO) is the national peak body for 146 Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs). Together, we deliver community-led healthcare to over half of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across Australia.
About the Role
Join the NACCHO team in Canberra as the Assistant Director, Ear and Hearing Health and lead a team to drive national ear and hearing health initiatives for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community-controlled health sector.
Responsibilities
- Provide program expertise to support the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled health sector.
- Promote the provision of health and wellbeing services through ACCHOs nationally.
- Liaise with governments and organisations on health and wellbeing issues.
- Represent and advocate for health service delivery.
- Manage strategic programs and lead a small team.
About You
You are a leader with a strong background in public, social or health policies/programs looking to expand your leadership skills with the following complementary skills:
- Effective problem solving and analytical skills.
- Collaborative leadership capabilities.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
