Senior Structural Engineer – Offshore Brownfield | Perth Based Contract
We’re working with a major global engineering and technology company on a key offshore brownfield project at the Fitness for Service (FFS) stage. This Perth-based contract offers the opportunity to play a critical role in structural integrity and life extension work for a high-profile floating production facility.

What you’ll be doing

Lead structural analysis, integrity checks, and Fitness for Service assessments on complex offshore structures

Deliver detailed steel and bolted connection designs, producing high-quality engineering documentation

Collaborate closely with multi-discipline teams and interface directly with the client

Provide technical oversight during manufacturing, fabrication, and (where required) installation

Contribute to a well-structured program with strong extension potential as future projects ramp up

What you’ll bring

Degree qualified in Structural Engineering (or equivalent)

10+ years’ experience in offshore structural design and brownfield modifications

Strong capability in structural integrity, detailed steel design, and FFS assessments

Excellent knowledge of API, ISO, DNV, AISC, and Australian standards

Proficiency in Space Gass, SACS, Mathcad, Navisworks (Sesam/GeniE, AutoCAD, and FEA highly regarded)

The offer

Perth based with no offshore travel required (low chance of site visits)

Competitive hourly rate: $100 to $120/hr

Start date: July 2025 (flexible for the right candidate)

Contract extensions likely with several additional projects on the horizon
