An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse- Mental Health Acute Care Team to join the Acute Care Team and provide person-centred nursing care at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Registered Nurse Standards for Practice. The CN is expected to be able to practice autonomously and provide leadership in clinical decision making. They have the responsibility for professional leadership in the absence of the Nurse Grade 7 and an opportunity to work collaboratively to lead practice changes and clinical innovation. Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership and nursing expertise to help achieve unit specific and organisational goals, key performance indicators and relevant standards.
- Support and assist the Nurse Grade 7 to lead the team, drive change processes and assist in the efficient management of human and material resources.
- Contribute to quality health care and the nursing profession, by participating in research activities; accepting a portfolio and participating in procedure, guideline, standard and policy development, implementation and evaluation.
- Facilitate a learning environment by acting as a clinical and educational resource, encouraging and supporting professional development and role modelling lifelong learning.
Remuneration value up to $131 900 p.a., comprising salary between $107 960 - $115 604 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1)) . Applications will remain current for 12 months. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered).
