Fuse Recruitment are currently sourcing for an experienced Manufacturing General Hand sorters with forklift license to work in the Beam Saw department for a National Leader in their field specialising in building products.
Located in Carole Park with onsite parking and also accessible by public transport. This role is working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern over a 7 day working roster.

• $42.90 p/hr flat rate
• Overtime paid at double time rates
• Overtime rates paid for working on your days off
• Temp to perm after 3 months for proven performers
• No daily shift confirmation needed from the agency

Shift Pattern:

• 4 on 4 off shift across a 7 day working roster
• 2 X days working 5:4a5am – 5:45pm
• 2 X nights working 5:45pm to 5:45am
• Then 4 days off
• If you work on one of your days off the entire shift is paid at double time rates!
  

Duties:

In this role you will work as a Hand sorter, All-rounder and forklift operator in a team environment.
Duties will based in the Beam Saw department for our client. This is a labour intensive role where you will be sorting through sheets of timber and then loading timber sheets onto beam saw machinery to be cut and shaped to client specific orders. Then you will move pallets of finished product via forklift to the despatch area.

You will also be counting stock, palletising stock and checking for quality and defects.
You will be picking of stock and preparing orders for shipping. You will also be working with oversized products up to 6 metres long.

Duties will also include:

• Loading timber sheets onto Beam Saw cutting machinery
• Manually stacking oversized sheets of timber and products onto pallets
• Loading Oversized pallets up to 6 meters long onto pallets
• Counterbalance forklift operation to move palletised stock to the despatch area
• Counting of stock
• Checking stock for Defects
• Quality assurance checks
• Wrapping and strapping pallets
• Pallet Jack Duties
• Matching Paperwork to orders

This is a loud, dusty and at times dirty environment to work in.

The Candidates:
You must be able to work weekends to work in this role
To be successful in obtaining this role you will have:

• 3+ years counterbalance forklift operating experience
• Experience working with oversized pallets and working with ugly freight
• Pick packing, palletising stock experience
• The ability to identify defects in stock
• Quality check / Quality assurance experience
• Experience working in a repetitive manual handling role
• The ability to lift products up to 20kgs
• Shrink wrapping (Both manual and machine operated)
• Experience working with oversized stock such as timber and wood products
• Wrapping and strapping experience
• Excellent attention to detail
• Previous experience in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent WHS knowledge
• An ability to commit to the role in an ongoing capacity
