The Fish Factory is excited to announce a job opportunity for a Storeman to join our team on a PREMANENT BASIS! Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work a full-time roster which may include a Saturday shift, covering 40 hours per week! Early morning starts are associated with this role, with shifts that can start at 2am, 4am and 9am respectively. The successful candidate will be comfortable taking control of paperwork and reporting processes to the operations manager. With genuine growth opportunities, this role will put you in the heart of our operations working across warehouse, chiller and freezer environments. Duties include:

• Receival and put-away of incoming stock
• Checking off goods and recording/reporting discrepancies
• Transferring stock between departments
• Operating of a forklift
• Some picking and packing of orders
• Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles/containers
• Assistance with stock-takes
• General warehouse duties

Experience, qualifications & personal attributes

Essential

1. Previous experience as a store person or in stock handling
2. Attention to detail & ability to report discrepancies
3. Forklift certification & experience operating a forklift
4. Proven warehouse skills
5. Physically fit & able
6. Excellent attention to detail
7. Ability to work well with others and be a team player
8. Strong work ethic

Desirable

1. Sound knowledge of seafood
2. Experience within the hospitality industry
