About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Hard Waste Driver, and in line with aim to achieve better gender equality we specifically encourage female and non-binary people to apply! You will operate company vehicles and collect hard or green waste from designated areas, working alongside a team of runners. Reporting to the Leading Hand or Supervisor, you will ensure waste is collected and disposed of efficiently and in line with all company and regulatory standards. This role requires a focus on safety, vehicle maintenance, and exceptional customer service, with a 5 am start time required.

Details of the Position:

Operate waste management vehicles.

Ensure waste loads are secure and within legal limits.

Conduct and document daily vehicle inspections.

Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure compliance with council procedures.

Use iPads and complete daily run sheets, checklists and required documentation.

Communicate effectively with supervisors to address any service-related issues.

About you:

Current HR driver’s license essential.

Proven experience in the waste industry or a related field (preferred but not essential).

Strong communication skills for interaction with staff, management, and customers.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Commitment to maintaining a high standard of environmental responsibility.
