About the role
CASUAL TO BEGIN WITH - full time after 3 months of probation
Water & Earth Services is seeking a skilled Retaining Wall Builder to join our team on a casual basis in Brisbane, QLD. In this varied and hands-on role, you will be responsible for constructing high-quality retaining walls to support and protect properties in the local area. This is a great opportunity to apply your expertise in the building trades and contribute to the successful delivery of projects for our valued customers.

You will need to be able and confident to work alone from time to time.

What you'll be doing

Interpret technical drawings/plans and specifications to construct retaining walls using a range of materials including concrete sleeper and sandstone block walls.

Prepare and level the ground for retaining wall installation

Pour concrete, and fit reinforcement as required

Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with relevant building codes and regulations

Collaborate with the wider project team to deliver retaining wall projects on time and within budget

Maintain a safe and tidy work environment, following all health and safety procedures

What we're looking for

Machine Tickets

Excavator

Skid steer

Relevant trade qualifications in a building or construction-related field

Proven experience as a Retaining Wall Builder or in a similar role within the building trades

Strong practical skills in concreting and setting steel posts.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Good communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and safety practices
