Tasks & Responsibilities:

Support clients to achieve their goals by providing evidence-based assessment and intervention

Providing neuroaffirming practice alongside continued development in this area

Assessing and implementing appropriate skill development plans for children to develop independence in the home and community

Continually evaluate participant progress and participation for effectiveness, efficiency, and quality, and modify treatment plans accordingly

Consultation with client’s family, caregivers and external stakeholders to provide strategies and education through a multi-disciplinary framework

Prescription, ordering and set up of required equipment

Report writing including assessment, funding recommendations, and supports

Maintain accurate documentation of all client-related activity, in keeping with organisational, professional, and legal requirements

Attendance at regularly scheduled internal supervision, professional development and team meetings

Contributing to a supportive team environment, providing support and/or supervision to colleagues as appropriate

Essential requirements:

Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)

Registered with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Satisfactory Working With Children's Check (Employee)

Current Driver's Licence

Satisfactory National Police Check for Employment in Disability

Previous experience as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist
