SSA group has partnered with a leading civil construction company that is seeking a HSE Advisor to join their team.

What will you need to be a successful candidate?

• Cert IV Training and Assessment
• Certificate IV OH&S or Diploma
• Excellent communication abilities.
• A current driver's licence.
• Ability to pass medical and D&A screenings.

Your new Responsibilities

• Ability to instruct tradespeople and labourers on safe working methods
• Provide HSE administrative support to the site staff.
• Manage HSE communications with all stakeholders.
• Ensure that the company maintains WHS compliance, including DMIRS and, in particular, asbestos removal duties.
• Ability to use appropriate PPE, including fit testing.
• Manage workforce training, skills, and currency, and provide VOC training.
• Maintain the training matrix and direct training requirements.
• Management of tool, vehicle, and plant maintenance, as well as tagging and compliance.
• Conduct site inspections, and instruct or reprimand people as needed.
• Provide and keep a recent model smartphone in functioning order.
• Make presentations to clients and others at safety meetings and conferences.
