About the role
ARRCS Terrace Gardens Aged Care Facility, located in Palmerston is actively sourcing a skilled Leisure and Lifestyle (Activities) Officer to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. This fulfilling role attracts an hourly rate of $33.96 - $36.59 / hour (dependent on qualifications and experience).
Located in Palmerston and walking distance from the Palmerston Bus Depot. Terrace Gardens is an 88-bed residential aged care home.
This exciting position will see you working with an engaged and hard-working team as you prepare and deliver both mental and physical activities to our residents. This will include both on-site and off-site activities such as visits to the shopping centres, parks, recreational facilities etc.
As the successful candidate, you will have a passion to working with and supporting the elderly. You will be supportive in your approach and understand how important mental and physical stimulation is for our residents. It is preferred that you have a Certificate IV in Lifestyle / Activities or a similar discipline such as Aged Care or Individual care however, not essential.

Skills & experience
To be considered for this role, we will be looking at the following experience and qualifications:
- Prior experience working with the elderly or vulnerable people in either an Activities or an Aged/Disability Support position.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn within the Aged Care and Community Care industry.
- Ability to work part-time hours as stated in advertisement.
- Maturity to work autonomously with at times, minimal supervision.

ARRCS (Australian Regional Remote Community Services)
Australian Regional and Remote Community Services (ARRCS) was established in July 2014 and provides aged care and community services in the Northern Territory. The services were previously managed by Frontier Services.
ARRCS operates eight residential care facilities with a combined capacity of 385 beds, and 11 community care programs in Darwin, Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, Katherine, Mutitjulu and Docker River. Some of the services are specifically for Indigenous Australians.
Our staff aim to provide Territorians with services that are responsive to people’s needs now and as their circumstances change.
These services are available to older people, people with a disability, patients discharged from hospital or following a visit to their GP, and individuals and carers who are in need of support.
