Paisley Park Prospect is a well-established early learning Centre in the heart of Prospect, ready to welcome qualified, passionate and experienced Educators to join the team. We are seeking an Early Childhood Teacher to implement our School Readiness Program at our beautiful Centre and work in collaboration with local schools for a smooth transition.

The Early Childhood Teacher will be responsible for supporting the team in program planning, reflecting the calibre of their qualification. A strong knowledge of curriculum, theory, and application is expected, along with the ability to adapt to the learning environment and support diverse learners. The Early Childhood Teacher may also be interested in the Educational Leader role we are also seeking, which would involve a closer level of leadership and mentoring.

Working directly with the team, the Early Childhood Teacher will support them in their daily practices to ensure they are engaged in quality teaching and delivering a program that meets the National Quality Standard, particularly in Quality Area 1. We provide time ‘off the floor’ for implementing tasks that require focus. However, there is a requirement for the Early Childhood Teacher to collaborate with teams across our Centres to further develop their professional skills. Paisley Park implements a unique Quality Improvement Program that embeds professional learning in everyday practice. A significant component of our framework is in-house mentoring, which can occur during or outside of working hours.

Essential Criteria

Childcare-relevant qualifications, such as an Early Childhood Degree or equivalent

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong leadership and management skills

The flexibility of working varied hours

Willingness to travel for professional development activities and community engagement

Experience with the Regulatory Authority

Current First Aid Certificate, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma

Knowledge of EYLF, NQS, and WH&S Policies

Child Protection Qualifications and WWCC
