We are looking for a Building Services Engineer to join our dynamic team in Sydney, playing a key role in delivering high-quality engineering, fire safety audits and project management services.

Your Role

As a Building Services Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting fire safety audits and managing rectification and upgrade projects to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct fire safety audits to assess compliance with relevant standards.

Coordinate System Interface Testing (SIT) with maintaining contractors and assess system functionality.

Perform NCC/BCA compliance audits to identify potential risks.

Manage rectification projects from assessment to completion.

Interpret and apply legislation and building codes to practical scenarios.

Review and interpret design documentation to ensure compliance.

Develop practical design alternatives that align with legislative requirements.

What We’re Looking For

Strong knowledge of NCC, BCA, risk identification, and OH&S legislation.

Exceptional attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality reports efficiently.

Experience in project management within the building services industry.

Solid understanding of building compliance requirements.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CAD.

A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Desirable Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Fire Safety, or Building Surveying) or equivalent.

Accreditation Practitioner in Fire Safety (APFS).

Prior experience in the Building and Construction Industry.
