Central Coast Montessori Primary School is seeking a passionate, skilled and committed Montessori-trained teacher to guide a 6–9 years (Cycle 2) learning environment.
As the only Montessori primary learning community on the Central Coast, we are committed to providing an authentic Montessori experience. Set just 10 minutes from the beautiful beaches of the NSW Central Coast, and located midway between Sydney and Newcastle, our community offers the rare opportunity to teach in a genuine Montessori environment—calm, considered, and connected. Relocation assistance will be considered for the right candidate.
Key Selection Criteria
To be considered for this position, applicants must demonstrate the following:
Montessori diploma, or active enrolment in a recognised course
Recognised Primary Education qualification approved by NESA
Demonstrated capacity to deliver a high-quality, developmentally responsive Montessori learning program
Strong knowledge of child development and the NSW curriculum (Stage 1–2)
Ability to establish respectful, trusting relationships with children and their families
A commitment to self-reflection, lifelong learning, and continuous professional growth
A high level of written and verbal communication skills
Organisational and planning skills, including accurate record keeping and learning documentation
A collaborative approach to working with colleagues and the wider community
Essential Requirements
NESA registration (or eligibility)
Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
First Aid and Child Protection training (or willingness to obtain)
Minimum 1 year of teaching experience
