About the role

Grant Walker Electrical Pty Ltd “GWE” is seeking an electrical apprentice. In this full-time position, you will provide maintenance services to NSW Public Schools. Lighting Upgrades and SwitchBoard Upgrades in to schools as well. You won't even get dirty!. Hours 7am-3pm - local to where you live.

What you'll be doing

In this role you will be responsible for carrying out preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across the Sydney metro, which will include lighting maintenance, emergency light testing, switchboard testing, running temporary power supplies, fault-finding, small installations and other related duties.

Reactive repairs

Pro-active Maintenance

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults

Maintain records and provide status updates

Contribute to the strong safety culture within the business

What we're looking for

Must be enrolled in TAFE

Minimum 1 years' experience

Current driver's licence

Ability to work independently

Accurately completely maintenance records and other paperwork

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety

Good communication and customer service skills
