About the Role

We have an exciting, opportunity for a positive and energetic Student Experience Officer to join our team at our Brisbane campus.

The Student Experience Officer is responsible for delivering an exceptional student experience, guiding them through their student life cycle, providing pastoral care and ensuring their overall welfare. Working with other members across the campus and the business, our aim is to deliver the ultimate Student Experience.

Other Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Be the first point of contact for KBS students (on campus and online), providing a welcoming and supportive student experience.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service, offering accurate advice and guidance on KBS programs, services, and study progression.
  • Coordinate and deliver major student events, including Orientation and Graduation.
  • Lead the Student Ambassador Program, empowering students to represent KBS in internal and external initiatives.
  • Provide support on academic performance, attendance, and student welfare, including guidance on deferrals, withdrawals, and course changes.
  • Assist students with adjusting to Australian culture and life as an international student in a new academic environment.
  • Manage and update the student portal with accurate information on pastoral care and support services.
  • Maintain timely, professional communication with students, responding to enquiries via email, phone, and in person.
  • Collaborate with academic staff on student performance issues and escalate matters to the Campus Manager as needed.
  • Foster a positive, student-centric team culture, ensuring compliance with policies and contributing to a safe, inclusive workplace.

About You

The successful candidate will be a positive and engaging with an appetite for delivering a high quality and holistic standard of service.

In addition, the successful candidate will have:

  • Positive and supportive communication style, with experience across a variety of key stakeholders
  • Up-to-date working knowledge of key legislation, policies and procedures relevant to international students, including the ESOS Framework and National Code
  • Ability to plan, control, coordinate and manage activities with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • A self-starter with a professional image who has accuracy and attention to details
  • Ability to work rostered shifts within our hours of operation: 8:00 am – 8:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
