Knox Grammar School is an independent, multi-campus Kindergarten to Year 12 day and boarding school for boys, located at Wahroonga on Sydney’s North Shore. ABOUT THE ROLE

The Maintenance Trade Assistant works as a member of the Property Team which is inspired at all times by the highest ideals of teamwork, collegiality, integrity and professionalism. This a permanent full-time position, commencing as soon as possible.

The primary responsibilities of the role will be undertaking repairs and maintenance works on the Schools' properties, performing scheduled maintenance tasks as per work requests, set-up and removal of function equipment as required, and operating plant and equipment required to perform tasks.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Carpentry, tiling, bricklaying, plastering or building and general maintenance activities

Previous experience in a school environment would be beneficial

Basic understanding of purchase/work order processes

Strong communication skills

Ability to use computer work process systems and cloud-based applications

Ability and experience in the use of iPad/PC technology to complete work orders and requests.

Flexibility, initiative and resourcefulness

A current Class C Driver’s Licence
