St John of God Healthcare at Home (HAH) offers a range of at home services including hospital substitution, acute and non-acute services to assist patients recover after a hospital stay. In providing a more integrated and holistic model of care that is both efficient and effective, home services is a key initiative of the SJGHC strategy.
Your role
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our dedicated Nursing team in Bunbury, as we enter an exciting phase of growth and development of new service areas and extension of our footprint in WA.
Positions will be offered on a casual basis working across the Bunbury and surrounding areas. Shifts are available Monday to Sunday (must be available for weekends), generally visiting patients between 8am to 4pm.
The Position
- Interview and examine the patient, documenting the assessment findings.
- Whilst promoting an environment of confidence, confidentiality and respect, identify through discussion with the patient, family and relevant others, actual and potential problems.
- Assess and document the anticipated needs of the patient.
- Make relevant referrals as necessary.
- Document the planned nursing care and ensure the care plan remains current.
- Perform the planned direct nursing care, set priorities and re-establish priorities in changing circumstances.
You will have demonstrated experience in sound communication and critical thinking skills, experience in a speciality area of nursing (surgical, community, chemotherapy, infusions desirable) and able to work both independently, and as part of the multidisciplinary care team.
Successful applicants will have current registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia, minimum three years post graduate experience in surgical nursing with oncology experience being advantageous and hold a current WA drivers licence.

- Hourly Rate: $48.55 to $63.89 (inclusive of casual loading) plus 11.5% Superannuation
