How you will make a difference
This role combine knowledge and expertise in community consultation, stakeholder engagement, communication and public participation. You will provide expert advice, support, and project liaison to key internal stakeholders, and ensure representative and relevant community consultation. Core responsibilities include developing and delivering community engagement strategies, managing end-to-end stakeholder and community engagement processes, supporting program planning, and contributing to internal capability-building and business improvement efforts across engagement functions.
No two days in this role will be the same. The ideal candidates will have the ability to pivot based on the priority of the day and apply their technical and transferrable skills to deliver on specific engagement priorities, including strategic citywide and targeted community engagement campaigns across all departments of the City.

We're looking for people who have:
Ability to leverage IAP2 principles, City insights, and technical expertise to advise key internal stakeholders and promote continuous improvement.
Ability to analyse data and statistical results, and report on insights and findings to inform decision making.
Extensive experience in developing, leading and facilitating community consultation processes to gather diverse perspectives and foster meaningful stakeholder participation.
Proven expertise in strategic guidance, assistance, and project coordination for key stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in evaluating and enhancing stakeholder and community engagement strategies and engagement plans.
Proven expertise in developing and managing complex, large community engagement plans to achieve strategic results.
Proven ability to advise on community engagement and stakeholder management.
Proven ability to provide strategic advice and effectively liaise with key internal and external stakeholders
High-level written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse professionals.
Team player with the ability to thrive in a multi-skilled team environment.
Self-motivated and demonstrated initiative, creativity and the ability to foster enthusiasm among fellow staff.
IAP2 Certificate of Engagement highly desirable.
