A household name when it comes to Tyres with branches all over Australia, my client is now looking for a new member of their workshop team based in Mayfield!

Reporting to the Lead Mechanic you may be a qualified Mechanic or Tyre Fitter or neither but with relevant experience and skills in these areas and looking for that new environment.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following skills and attributes:

• Solid knowledge, skills, and experience with a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
• Current Driver's licence [class C] – manual (essential)
• Authorised AIS inspector (pink slip) - desirable
• Diagnostics and fault-finding experience
• Qualified Motor Mechanic Trade Certificate - desirable
• The ability to prioritise and manage workloads
• Good communication skills focusing on production and efficiency
• The ability to apply in-house policy and procedures
• Strong customer service focus with a high attention to detail

The Role:

• Strong diagnostic skills
• Working on all makes and models of cars
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Identifying faults in vehicle stability and tyre wear
• Checking and servicing steering systems and suspension
• Accurately adjusting wheel alignments and conducting post-alignment checks
• Providing your expert advice and reporting on the potentially dangerous risks of your customers' vehicles
• Safely operating hoists and conducting road tests

This role is ideally suited to someone with high experience in these areas, however, we will also consider you if you have a high mechanical aptitude and are willing to learn.

An hourly rate commensurate with experience will be offered. Overtime is readily available.
