What is our Senior Occupational Therapist role?

This role is for skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapists to join the Acute Medical Occupational Therapy Team working as part of the Emergency Department and or the Medical Assessment Unit. You will play a critical role in providing assessment and discharge planning to patients who present with a wide range of acute medical conditions and injuries. This position is fast paced and is well supported by a strong allied health team. The Senior Occupational therapist in this role is well regarded for providing occupational therapy expertise.

We currently have casual positions available. Ideally for this role you will:

• Have strong assessment, clinical reasoning and discharge-planning skills in acute medicine.
• Be able to work collaboratively as part of a well-respected allied health team.
• Be able to work flexibly as part of a team across 7 days including both standard and non-standard hours.

This role reports to the P3 Occupational Therapy Coordinator in Acute.
