The Role

We are seeking a Family Lawyer with 15+ years of post-qualification experience to work closely with one of our principals to lead and grow our family law section. This is a unique opportunity to step into a senior leadership role and make a lasting impact.

As the Senior Associate or Special Counsel in our family department, you will:

Assist in managing and mentoring our talented family law team.

Handle complex and high-value family law matters, including:

Parenting and property disputes

Divorce and separation

Financial agreements and child support matters

Domestic violence cases

Develop and implement strategies to grow and strengthen the family law section.

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Represent clients in mediations, negotiations, and court proceedings.

Drive business development initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the firm.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

15+ years of post-qualification experience in family law, with a proven track record of success in handling complex cases.

Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and colleagues.

A client-focused mindset and a passion for achieving outstanding outcomes.

Specialist Accreditation in Family Law (highly desirable).

A proactive and entrepreneurial approach to business development.

A current Australian practising certificate.
