About us

We are an Australian based company that grows, mills, and distributes a range of unique products from durable Victorian hardwood timbers. Based in Yarram, South Gippsland we operate the world’s only commercial radial sawn timber mill, maximising timber yield from temperate re growth forests and locally grown plantation resource. In upcoming additions to our operations, smaller logs will soon be processed to produce Laminated Veneer products, further expanding our sustainable timber yield. Alongside our milling operations we operate a Continuous Pyrolysis Plant using the sawdust and wood chip residue from our milling processes to sequester carbon by producing biochar for soil amendment and are currently expanding our CPP operations to produce renewable energy for our milling operations.

Key responsibilities:

Follow all safety systems, training, and instructions. Wear required personal protective equipment and adhere to company policies

Perform routine inspections, preventive, and breakdown maintenance on production equipment.

Assist with fabrication, installation and commissioning of new machinery and upgrades

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults to minimise downtime and ensure production continuity.

Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve equipment performance

Accurately complete maintenance records and work orders

· Ability to show initiative, be self-motivated and work unsupervised.

What you will bring:

· Trade qualifications as a Fitter (mandatory requirement)

· Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing or heavy industry environment

· A positive friendly attitude, effective team member, high quality results driven and a willingness to learn

· Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills

· The capability to work as a Leader alongside other leaders to develop and align goals and plans for site production lines and projects

· Ability to conduct on call maintenance to assist operators conducting after hours CPP operations (Mon- Fri)

· Forklift & EWP licence is an advantage but not essential
