You will own and drive the accounting policy frameworks across the organisation, and be exposed to unique transactions across a variety of sectors from financial services to mining and resources, infrastructure, energy, and technology. You will have a deep technical accounting background with an ability to deliver commercial outcomes for complex transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Delivery of technical accounting solutions for complex transactions
• Maintenance and enhancement of internal accounting policies
• Business partnering with front office deal teams, and internal finance teams, as well as treasury and tax
• Continual development of internal and external stakeholder relationships influencing optimal accounting treatment outcomes
• Ad hoc accounting analysis and reporting

Experience:

• CA/CPA qualified or equivalent
• Deep understanding of accounting standards (IFRS/AASB), especially business combinations, financial instruments, revenue recognition, joint ventures, and more
• Exposure to various asset and transaction types across financial services, resources, energy, technology, infrastructure, and more
• Ability to apply commercial solutions to complex transactions from a technical accounting perspective.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communicator, both written and verbal, and an ability to tailor a complex message to the specific audience
