At Tectonic Tiling, we believe our people are our biggest strength, and we’re looking for a talented Tiler to join our team.

About the role

We are seeking a Qualified Wall and Floor Tiler to join our team, working on a number of Adelaide’s most exciting commercial and residential projects. Ideally, you will have at least 4 years’ experience in a similar role.

Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

Interpreting architectural drawings

Preparing substrates

Waterproofing

Preparing, measuring and cutting tiles using tile-specific tools and machinery to the required specifications

Installation of tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces using appropriate adhesives and grouts

Ensuring tiles are laid to a high standard, with consistent spacing and alignment

Grouting and caulking to a professional standard

Liaising with project managers and clients to understand and meet project requirements

Maintaining a safe and organised work environment

Providing support to other team members as needed

Requirements:

Along with your strong work ethic and previous experience in a similar position, you'll have/be:

Formal qualification in floor and wall tiling, or equivalent experience

Minimum 4 years of hands-on-experience in the tiling trade

Strong understanding of tiling techniques, materials, and industry standards

Proven track record of delivering high-quality tiling work in residential and/or commercial settings

Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications

Strong attention to detail and ability to work to precise measurements and specifications

Commitment to high-quality workmanship

Good communication and customer service skills

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Strong problem-solving skills

Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and ability to work safely on-site

Current Driver’s License and vehicle

We offer competitive hourly rates and allowances in accordance with the National Employment Standards and the Building and Construction General On-site Award 2020 (MA000020).
