About Fairfield Women's Health Services
Fairfield Women's Health Services (FWHS) has been delivering quality health services to improve the lives of women in the Fairfield Local Government Area. We are a non-government, not for profit, multi-disciplinary and holistic health service run by women for women.
FWHS offers a broad range of client centred, evidence based, primary and preventative health care services and programs, which aim to improve the health and wellbeing of women residing in the Fairfield Local Government Area, with particular emphasis on the local migrant, refugee and disadvantaged community.
FWHS operates from a feminist perspective, under a social model of health where service provision is based on principles of social justice and an understanding of a gendered approach to health.
An expression of Interest (EOI) is being sought for an experienced qualified Caseworker 3 days per week at our Cabramatta and Fairfield sites. This is an exciting role for someone qualified and experienced.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria:
Relevant tertiary qualifications/ or relevant experience in the field
Excellent communication skills
Computer software applications, and data bases.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Intake, Assessments, Screening, and referrals
Experienced in Women's Health issues and casework supporting women who have experienced domestic violence.
Understanding of WHS practices
Demonstrated experience in Community Development or other community work
Proven organisational and time management skills
Ability to work as a team as well as to work independently and with minimal supervision
Commitment and capacity to implement quality management principles
Commitment to feminist philosophy and principles
Demonstrated experience delivering information sessions and group work
Desirable Criteria:
Bi lingual (Arabic, Vietnamese or any other community language) speaking
Knowledge of the Fairfield LGA and Services
Demonstrated experience in working in the NGO sector, and community services work
Demonstrated experience in working with CALD populations
A Working with Children Check and Criminal Record Check will be required for the successful applicant.
