About the role

At Kennards Hire, we don't just rent equipment - we make every customer interaction count. As a Hire Controller, you'll be the friendly face (and voice) of our branch - helping customers find the gear they need to get the job done right. We'll support you with full training, ongoing development, and a team that's got your back every step of the way.

This role requires you to;

• Delivering top-notch customer service - whether it's over the phone or face-to-face in the branch
• Creating and finalising hire bookings, making sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish
• Offering expert advice and suggesting equipment that helps customers get better results
• Assisting with loading, unloading, cleaning and basic servicing of equipment
• Keeping things organised - from paperwork to showroom presentation
• Opening and closing the branch when needed

About you

• Successful applicants have come from various backgrounds such as; Customer service, building & construction, hospitality, retail, driver, landscaping, trade & maintenance.
• Previous experience in a customer service role, and a genuine interest in helping others
• The availability to work half day Saturdays on a rotating roster
• A proven ability to be adaptable to changing priorities and work conditions including the ability to both work as part of a team and to work autonomously to complete tasks within required timeframes
• Time management skills including the ability to plan ahead and reschedule in accordance with changes in priorities
• An interest in mechanics and construction equipment and a desire to learn

• Comfortable working Saturdays (half-day, on a rotating roster)
• Ability to stay organised and adapt when things get busy strong sales administration experience and attention to detail
• Strong team player and adaptable to changing priorities
• An interest in equipment, tools or mechanics is a big bonus - we'll teach you the rest!
