North West Private Hospital is seeking dynamic and enthusiastic Anaesthetic Nurses or Technicians to join our team of passionate professionals to drive Ramsay’s high standard of patient care.

About the Role

In this role, you will work as an integral member of our team and ensure safe surgical outcomes are achieved, in line with the core values and strategic direction of the department, Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

Duties and responsibilities will involve, but are not limited to:

• Providing technical and clinical support to the Anaesthetist during induction, maintenance, and emergence from anaesthesia.
• Responding to unexpected outcomes and uses problem solving skills to respond to emergencies in the Perioperative department.
• Compliance with all legislative requirements in the work place including occupational safety and health acts and workers’ compensation

Your Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will have the flexibility to work early or late shifts with on call components.

You will also demonstrate the following:

• A minimum of 1 year acute hospital experience
• Diploma of Anaesthetic Technology (or similar) qualification as an Anaesthetic Technician or Nurse
• Strong clinical skillset
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Must have current working rights within Australia to be considered
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently as required
• Any post-graduate perioperative qualifications will be highly regarded

Remuneration

A base hourly rate, based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive to penalties or allowances:

Enrolled Nurses: $35.78 - $39.96 + superannuation (Enrolled Nurses Level 1-2)

Registered Nurses: $41.89 - $54.01 + superannuation (Registered Nurse/Midwife 1.2-1.8)

Anaesthetic Technicians: $35.53 - $37.74 + superannuation (QLD Support Services Level 4-5)
