The Family by Family vision is to see all families thrive, not just survive. We connect families with lived experiences to families seeking support, fostering real, lasting change through community, empathy, and leadership.
We are seeking a passionate Family Coach to join our team. You'll be at the heart of driving change for families in need. In this diverse role, you'll have multiple responsibilities, working to build and lead teams of Sharing Families and empower them to create effective change for Seeking Families. You'll be the motivator, the inspiration, and the problem-solver, helping families overcome various challenges and stresses, from social isolation to navigating the child protection system. As a Family Coach, you won’t drive the change — you’ll empower families to lead it themselves
This role You will be required to work across multiple Hub sites across Metro Adelaide and may need to travel to various sites throughout the day. Due to this, you will need a full Driver's Licence and vehicle.
We want to hear from you if:
You're driven by a desire to make a real difference in your community.
You thrive in an energetic and supportive team environment.
You’re motivated by seeing others succeed and have the energy, creativity, and resilience to support families from all walks of life
What will you be doing:
Recruit, support, and onboard Sharing Families, guiding them through legal documentation and checks.
Facilitate engaging, safe group coaching sessions that inspire sharing, learning, and growth.
Foster a fun, supportive environment where families feel empowered and motivated.
Recognise and celebrate family achievements while providing leadership and constructive feedback.
The successful candidate will have:
A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Teaching, or relevant experience.
Proven experience working with families, young people, and children, including diverse backgrounds like Aboriginal and CALD communities.
A deep understanding of community resources and networking with other service providers to support families.
Knowledge of child protection and risk management to ensure families' safety.
The ability to excel both within a team and autonomously.
